Korin at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has been creating a lot of new sets these last few months and have many more sets in store for you in the coming months. Due to lack of space she must discontinue some of the older sets.

What does this mean for you? It means a SALE!All discontinued sets will be marked down to around 25% off while supplies last!! This sale started a few days ago while I was out fo town, so take advantage of lower prices while you can!

Thank you for visiting my Blog! Have a great night!

Revamping Retired sets....

Here are some cards that I changed up a bit.
The Purple Delight In Life card - was an idea I recieved from Shelly K. but changed it up a bit by using a Scripture stamp, adding dew drops and polka dots too.

Thanks for the idea Shelly!

Stamp set: SU Delight In Life (retired), Encouragement by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Cardstock and ink: Lovely Lilac, Basic Black, Whisper White, Ballet Blue
Accessories: Dew Drops, Mini Glue Dots, Dazzling Diamonds, 2 way glue pen, Black marker, white gel pen

This next card I used one of my favorites that has long been retired...Botanical Gardens.

I stamped on Vellum and put the confetti cream cardstock underneath to make it pop a bit. I embossed in Gold the words and leaf and used an Exacto blade to cut out the leaf tip.

Stamp Sets: Botanical gardens SU (retired), Encouragement Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Cardstock and Ink: Versamark, Really Rust, More Mustard, Gold Encore, Basic Black,
Accessories: Gold EP, Embossing Buddy, Heat tool, Gold Cord, Gold eyelets, Cropodile, Exacto Blade, sponge

Family pictures - on our way to the Wisconsin Dells

Most of our vacation in the Dells is relaxing and swimming. Although, this year I did not do much swimming. My sweetie and the kids did that.

We just had an ice cream, so my youngest has ice cream all over her face and PROUD of it. LOL

That man there is my hunka hunka burnin' love. :) He melts my butter. :) (I got that saying from my friend Jennifer)

If you look closely at the picture of my son, you can see some of my stamp stuff. I did not get as accomplished as I wanted too.

In the picture of myself - if you look in the reflection of my glasses, you can see my arm.

Notice, my beautiful teen daughter, tolerating me taking her picture while we drive? She read most of our vacation. I believe she devoured four books. Not only beautiful, but she is very smart too!

This picture of my 6 yo daughter depicts her personality perfectly! Giggly and just a hint of mischievousness.

Lake Delton - in Wisconsin

A few weeks ago you may have seen on national news that with all of the storms Wisconsin was having that a dam broke and Lake Delton drained. You may have even seen the videos where 4 houses were washed away in the lake. Here are pictures of Lake Delton and the devastated area 2 weeks after the storms.

We had our vacation in the area this week. If you have plans to visit their tourism area has had a major dip in business with all of the storms. Nearly all of the attractions are still open for business.

BLOGGERS CHALLENGE #53 CAN YOU RESIST?

We arrived home from vacation yesterday and I spent most of my time working on unpacking, laundry and cleaning...so I could stamp today!
This weeks Bloggers Challenge is to do ANY RESIST technique. Hmmmm... I sit down to work on the Challenge and I am STUMPED - no ideas come to my mind...my Mojo is still on vacation.
After wasting some time surfing and looking at a few techniques for resisting, I decide what to do - Emboss Resist.
I wanted to try something a little different, so I used Bordering Blue and embossed the Floral BG on it. I used the sponge daubers but wasn't completely satisfied with the way the color was coming out - so I grabbed my Prismacolor pencils and colored in some of the unembossed areas - then used the sponge daubers with assorted inks to color in any areas I missed with the pencils.
I watercolored the Hummingbird and Flowers with the Classic Ink pads from Stampin' Up! and my trusty Aquapainter. Once done watercoloring it I sprayed some Pearl Glimmer Mist over the image. I wasn't completely satisfied with the shimmer I recieved and didn't feel like getting up again to pull out the Glimmer Mists so I grabbed my Twinkling H20's Iridescent Violet and went over the hummingbird. Once that was done, I grabbed my 2-way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds and lightly went over some of the flowers.
Here is the supply list:
Stamp Set: Spring Song, Flower Bg
Cardstock amd Ink: Versamark, Black Staz On, Sage Shadow, Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose, Bordering Blue, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White, Shimmery White cs (bg)
Accessories: Heat Tool, Clear Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Prismacolor pencils, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, dazzling diamonds, 2 way glue pen, sponge daubers, Island Blossom Dew Drops from the Robins Nest, pink gingham ribbon.....
Ohhh speaking of the ribbon - underneath that is a mistake! My original idea did not include the ribbon, but that became a necessity when I got punch happy and punched a hole for a brad crooked...
Thank you for looking. Be sure to check out all of the other talented bloggers under the Bloggers Challenge icon - just click on it for a list of links!

Clouds with Lightning - Encouragement Cards

You know who I LOVE? Even though I do not know him by name - I just LOVE it when he comes to my door... my post man! He is the best and always brings me fun mail.
The other day, I got 3 large packages! One from Stampscapes, another from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and another from Stampin' Up!. Talk about a FUN mail day!!!
I had a class which is this morning to plan for, so I didn't have time to play - not to mention birthday parties we were throwing for our dd and out of town In-laws being over. That truly limited my play time (oops!! I better say work time - because that is what I tell my hubby ***giggle***)
Last night, I was playing (working) around with my new stamps - Sweet 'n Sassy's Jesus Cares and Stampscapes cloud with lightning - this did not turn out on paper as I saw it in my head - (neither card did) but sometimes that happens! LOL

I saw this stamp and it reminded me of God being ALL POWERFUL - He is in complete control of all things - I THANK and PRAISE Him for that because I tend to screw up a lot and it is good to know that someone else has MORE control than I do! I also am thankful that He can work my "bad" for His good!

Ok- sorry that turned into a short testimonial instead of a detailed report of the cards.

Here are the details for the first card:
Stamp Sets: Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Jesus Cares, SU Weathered, Canvas, Stampscapes Cloud with Lightning Lg.
Cardstock and Ink: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Bordering Blue
Accessories: Silver Brads, Sponge, half inch and 1/4 inch circle punch, ticket corner punch, white gel pen, 1/16th hole punch, brayer
Second card details:
Stamp Sets: Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Jesus Cares, SU Weathered, Stampscapes Cloud with Lightning,
Cardstock & Ink: Glossy White, Almost Amethyst, Ballet Blue, Night of Navy
Accessories: 1/4 inch circle punch, Silver Bells Dew Drops, Corner Rounder, Lg & Sm. Oval Punch, Dimensionals, Sponge Daubers, Q-tips
All for God's glory! May you feel His presence in the storms of your life.
Thank you for looking! Have a great weekend!

My Funny Story

A few weeks ago on my Blog Candy I had people tell a funny story...so I was in my stamp room tonight my 3 yo dd came in and started drinking my water. She then spit it in her little play cup. All of a sudden I heard her spitting in to my cup. I hollared NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! She then proceeded to say ever so sweetly... "momma, you need seconds in your cup. You are extra thirsty." Can you say ICK? ROFL I could not stay mad at her but I did go get a clean glass. LOL

Frogetful Sam Lunch box

Sweet 'n Sassy Yahoo Group had a challenge this month to make a Lunchbox, so tonight I took some time to make one. I only have a million other projects to work on, but this one WON out this evening. :)

I went to my favorite scrapbook (brick & mortar) store this afternoon in Mukwonago, WI -and picked up a bunch of new toys (designer paper, Chipboard, etc.) Frankly, I can NEVER have enough. :)

While there, I purchased some Basic Grey papers and element stickers - and some Zach's Life Tags from Deja View.

Here are the details of what I used...

Stamp Sets: Frogetful Sam
Cardstock and Ink: Basic Grey Archaic DP, SU Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Adirondack Black and COPICS
Accessories: Lunch tin, Artichoke and White grosgrain, 5/8 chocolate grosgrain, Red Sticky Tape, Deja' View Fabric Tags (I changed the color of the Tags from rust to Artichoke with a Copic Marker), Basic Grey Element Stickers, Screw Brads, Dimensionals, 1/2 inch circle punch, glue dots.

I took the brush tip end of the Copic and went over the frame and swirls with the artichoke marker to change it from Rust to Artichoke. I also changed the dots to draw it closer to the DP.

Thank you so much for looking! Have a Happy Father's Day!

Bloggers Challenge 51 - Pencilled Glories

Remember about 3 years ago when Prismacolor Pencils were on such a GREAT sale at Office Depot? Well, I HAD to buy them. I couldn't stop myself. Flooding in our area....

Hi Everyone - I will be on later this evening, Lord willing. We are having LOTS of flooding here in our neighborhood - The Root River which is 2 blocks down the road is not supposed to fully crest until Thursday.

You can view some pictures here: http://www2.jsonline.com/site/photographerphotos/SlideShow.aspx?catid=1263&N=0&photoid=23057

Please keep people across the Wisconsin area in your prayers! Pray for safety please.

Our GOD is still in control. None of this is a surprise to Him!

As for the Blog Candy - I will post a winner either later tonight or tomorrow. I apologize for the delay but we have extra children here, due to a dear friend's father being hospitalized and VERY, VERY ill. So 6 children in the house makes it hard for me to think...plus with the added information over load of flooding, oh YES! Did I mention Stamp Camp being tonight at my house? Just a few things happening today.

Be safe! Count your blessings and name them one by one!

Both riches and honor come from You,
And You reign over all.
In Your hand is power and might;
In Your hand it is to make great
And to give strength to all.

STORMS IN SE WISCONSIN...

This is what we woke up to this morning. Thank God for insurance!

We were waiting to hear back from our insurance to see what they would like to do about the damage - if they wanted to come see it or exactly how they wanted to handle the claim...so we do not know what the damage is to the van yet. Now it is down pouring and thundering and lightening - so we can not move the branch (we have since heard from the insurance and they won't make it here for a few days.)

Praise God for our safety and that this is ONLY "STUFF" that can be replaced!

There are supposed to be more storms through out today and this evening...so keep us in your prayers please. Flash Flood Warnings are on along with severe Thunderstorm Warnings as well.

Stay dry and keep safe....I am off to stamp now. :)

Bloggers Challenge #50 BLACK & WHITE

Today is Bloggers Challenge day and this weeks Challenge is BLACK AND WHITE!

For this card, I used my W3 & W5 Copic Markers and shaded the flower and leaves. Then I cut out a few petals and leaves, curled them in my fingers and added 2 to 3 dimensionals to make them pop up and stay there (you can view this on the angled picture)... this will probably take a few extra cents for postage if you choose to do this on your cards. I also added a little bit of glitter to the petals for a little added OOmph! :)

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps just came out with a *NEW* stamp set titled Jesus Cares. I just LOVE it!

So here are some more details:

Stamp Sets: In the Garden by SU, Jesus Cares by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Cardstock and Ink: Black Adirondack, Whisper White, DP by TLC, Basic Black CS

Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds, 2 way glue pen, Hardware, white grosgrain, Paper Snips, Dimensionals

If you can not read it, the Scripture on the card reads: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5b.

Thank you for looking. This was a *REAL* challenge for me to use ONLY black and white - I wanted to add a splash of color in there some where. LOL

Enjoy your weekend
