POPPED UP!

IF YOU ARE HERE FOR THE MFP BLOG HOP GO HERE

Hello Everyone! Welcome to my Blog! I hope you are having a GREAT August!  Today, I am sharing a Birthday card using the WONDERFUL DRS Designs Stamps!

I used the Open plaid Background and the Large Original Plaid background. These stamps are PERFECT to create a UNIQUE project with the colors YOU need for your stamping needs! I used the Popcorn Box and colored it up with my Copics! The Popped Up Birthday Greeting actually ends with 'Have a Happy Day!' but I did not ink that portion up and stamped only the top portion of the sentiment, saving the latter part for the center.

The Popcorn Box was popped up using Glue Dots. I added the glaze to the letters and to the popcorn with the Viva Perle Pen in the Magic White Transparent color. The black dots were added using the Black Viva Pearl Pen.

Thank you for POPPING in! I hope you have a wonderful day!

JUST A NOTE....BEACHED BOAT

Hi Friends! Welcome to my little corner of the world today! We finally have some warmer weather in Wisconsin and what a blessing it is! We were able ot open the windows and enjoy a nice breeze without freezing or sweating to death! LOL

Now if you recall, I started Weight Watchers a few weeks ago. Originally I started the Online Program, but found I really needed more support so I started going to the meetings. I had NO loss the first few weeks, but this past Tuesday when I did my weigh in I was down 2.4 pounds! Yippee! :) I am finding the support I am getting at the meetings (I have gone to 2 so far) and the tips they share to be VERY helpful!

Anyways, you came here to see my card! This is a SNEAK PEEK to a new set from Mark's Finest Papers called Sand, Surf, Relax! I created this using Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge and Clean and Simple Challenge. The CAS Challenge was to use ribbon and scrunch it!

Stamps: Sand Surf and Relax
Paper: Stella Rose DP from My Mind's Eye, Espresso, Vanilla
Ink: Memento and Copics
Accessories: Brown grosgrain, Dew Drops, Spellbinders, Dimensionals,

Starting next week Tuesday, MFP will be showing off all of their new sets! Come join us for the Blog Hop!!!  Well, I need to get moving for now... I hope you have a WONDERFUL day!!!Chrissy D

Grace, Hyena, Freddie the Frog and Me

Hello and Happy Monday! OK, let me start by asking... where did the weekend go? Holy Cow! I think every weekend Monday sneaks up on me faster. This week, is actually a quieter one for me. So glad all of the running around is done for awhile. I have a few shops to go to, to pick up gifts but otherwise, much of my Christmas shopping is done for the year. That feels great! Now, to decide what I am going to do for Christmas cards... lol You would think I have plenty with all that I create, but I like to do a family photo card for our family and loved ones...so this week, I will work on that!

Todays cards use I Brake for Digis. This first card was created by my daughter, Grace. We had a lot  of fun stamping together this weekend. Over at The Brakefast Club (a fun forum for I Brake for Stamps!) I host a challenge and this week was to create a project using INCHIES! I would LOVE to have you join the fun, if you like challenges, go HERE to see the challenge forum!

Grace had a blast creating this card. She added so many fun details too... She used the Laughing Hyena from I Brake for Digis, and I typed up the Birthday Greeting using my Microsoft Word program. She colored the image using water based markers and added SU striped ribbon and some fun embellishments she had lying around.

My card uses this FUN frog. Freddie the frog originally was a male, but I added some eye lashes and some bright pink lips to "girl it up!" This digital image was lots of fun to color too! I added some Stardust Stickles to the crown and lips - avoiding the black lines! For the background, I used the BIRDS SHEET stamp set !

You can use my code SAVE10CHRIS to SAVE 10% too!

I need to get my day started here - we have school, laundry and stamping to do today! Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!

LAZY, HAZY DAYS OF SUMMER

Hello! Have you ever been in a season where you know life is going to change in a few weeks? I am there right now. Preparing for our fall schedule. It has been such a busy summer with having to work to help make ends meet and our school season starting next week too. We have had a lot of fun this summer too. With the hot, humid weather and my work schedule, I did not get to the beach as often as I intended but I enjoyed some good books and lots of quiet time mingled in. I hope you enjoy EACH MOMENT of your remaining summer too!!!

My card today uses QKR STAMPEDE images - Cute and Quirky! As I made this card, I threw in a few challenges as well... they are...

Stampin' Sisters in Christ: Challenge: create a card of apology or one reaching out to someone and encouraging them to put the past behind them and move forward. Based on this beautiful Scripture Philippians 3:13-14 "Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."  (my card signifies the hope of forgiveness!)

Paper Take Weekly - WHITE AND BRIGHT
Penny's Paper Craft - ANYTHING GOES
MelJen's Designs Challenges - CLEAN AND SIMPLE
Pile It On - A LITTLE BIT COUNTRY, A LITTLE BIT ROCK & ROLL

Here are a few more details on my project:
Stamps: QKR Stampede - Break Time and Love Faith Hope
Cardstock: Blue, White, Black
Accessories: Martha Stewart Scor-pad, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, Striped Ribbon from SU
TECHNIQUE: Spot Lighting

At the end of the week, we will be celebrating BACK TO SCHOOL with our
School DAZE  Days BLOG HOP! I hope you will come back and join us!
