COURAGEOUS EYES...

Hello Everyone - I have a short tutorial for you today using the Luminarte Silks! I just LOVE this Crafters Workshop Treescape stencil and thought it would look SOOOO Cool stamped. So I added adhesive to the back and taped it down.

I grabbed my Viva Silks Pretty Peridots and Cinnamon Brown and stippled the Silk Paint on and stamped the image on some White Cardstock.
Once this dried, I painted Creative Inspiration Paints Sky Blue using the Tim Holtz Water Brush. When the background dried, I laid the Crafters Workshop Treescape stencil over the tree image and grabbed the Tsukineko Squeegee and the AWESOME ART ANTHOLOGY GELATE Frost and applied over the entire background that the stencil did not cover. Susana has soooo many COOL Mixed Media supplies - head on over and shop and grab some new toys!!! So Fun!
Here are some more details: Stamps from the Eyes of Adventure and Fables - Courageous Eyes and colored her with Copic Markers and Creative Inspiration Paints: Denium, Onyx, Antique Silver, Sky Blue, Coal . I used Dimensionals to pop up Courageous Eyes and finished off the project with Viva Pearl Pen Dark Brown.
I hope you enjoyed my project today! Come back to see some more projects this week! Have a great day!

Ready for some Adventure?

Hey everyone! Don't you LOVE adventures? Today the Sweet Stop Sketch is sharing a FUN SKETCH that can take your imagination to the depth of adventure as you CREATE!!I used the paper pad Authentique' called Peaceful, layered on Artichoke Card Stock. I stamped the map from Adventure Eyes repeatedly in Artichoke ink on the the background paper. Using Copic Markers I colored the image in and cut out using the Out of the Box technique on the Spellbinders Oval. I used the Magic Pearl Pen - Transparent to frame the edges of the patterned paper. The Black Viva Pearl Pen frames the Oval. I added some rope for her whip and the Idea-Ology Chit Chat Stickers for the word Adventure!
I created a 4 1/4" x 5" sheet of card stock using the Dream Weaver Paste and the Basket Weave Stencil. (I placed the stencil on an angle and used the handy dandy Dreamweaver Stencils Spreader) and allowed it to dry for a half an hour. I then used the Ranger Perfect Medium Clear and tapped on the raised embossed edges and then stippled the Aged Patina - Pewter on that.

Make sure you check out what the rest of the Sugar Babies came up with: Cathy McCauley, Chrissy Dickinson, Janice Melton, Korin Sutherland (out this week), and Shannon White.
Have a great weekend!

What Big Eyes...

Hello Everyone - I am hopelessly late in my post! Any free moment I had, I have been battling a head cold, and trying to rest as much as possible.

Today I am sharing our Sweet Stop Sketch  from this past Saturday. A BIG apology to my team mates for being so tardy in my post!
My card today features the new Images from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and their new series called Eyes of Adventure and Fables Collection  and this one is called WHAT BIG EYES...  I used the 6x6 paper pad called GlitzPaper - Cashmere paper. Susana has a WIDE variety of COOL PAPERS for every paper crafting need!

Using the Spreader and the Squeegee, I used the white clay and allowed it to dry over night. Once it was dried, I used the Fantastix and Viva Pearl 3-D Paint Gold and Red to paint the clay medallion.

Make sure you check out what the rest of the Sugar Babies came up with: Cathy McCauley, Chrissy Dickinson, Janice Melton, Korin Sutherland (out this week), and Shannon White.
Have a great weekend!

EYES OF ADVENTURE AND FABLES

Hello Everyone!!! If this is your first stop of the day, you will want to head back to the beginning which is Danni's Blog to see all of the FABULOUS new images - otherwise, if you came from Kim's Blog, you are in the RIGHT PLACE! It is time for another exciting SCACD Stamp Release!!! SCACD is thrilled to bring you the follow up to the super sweet Eyes of Beauty and Dreams Collection with Newest Eyes of Adventure and Fables Collection. We definitely think the Eyes have it!!! These eyes just capture your heart and even better each stamp comes with an accessory image!!! Today I get to introduce Bon Jour Eyes and  Oceanic Eyes...
I thought I would try a little whimsical painting with this image. I stamped the Oceanic Eyes Beauty in Black Staz On Ink and grabbed my Tim Holtz Water Brush and stippled and painted with 3-D Stamp Paint in Lime Green, Rose and Gold. I used the Craft Concept Silver Fern embossing folder on white cardstock and sponged it with pink ink. I mounted the Take Note Collection patterned paper on Chocolate card stock and paper pierced with my piercing tool. Using the Ornate Hinge Dies by SCACD I added an embellishment along the side and created a little sea plants. Using the Viva Pearl Paint Brown, I added some detailing in the corners.

Isn't the little sea creature CUTE????

Now for a  REGAL LADY called Bon Jour Eyes ...  As soon as I saw her, I envisioned her in RED! I tried something a bit different for her hair color using a new color combo for me. I used Copic Markers in E49, E44, E43 then added E39. Susana has the Shinhan Art Markers too - check them out!

I used the Teresa Collins Christmas Cottage Designer Paper  as the background and colored the  Bon Jour Eyes and cut her out using paper snips to create a look of a formal ball room. Using the beautiful Dies by SCACD I used the Alice's Clock Statement Corner to create a ballroom clock and the Vintage Fountain Die.  I used the Susana Loves Stamp Mixed Media stamp called The Authentic Words colored it and cut it out and mounted it on Sticky Thumb Dimensionals. To finish off the project I used

Quixotic Paperie will be carrying these so all of our International friends can get yours HERE!  Have a blast being inspired by these beauties, as our Design Team shares their GORGEOUS creations!  Now - let's CRACK THAT WHIP!!! From here you will head on over to Alex's Blog and see what she has in store for you!

Have fun Hopping! Have a wonderful day!
