ODBDSLC: WE THREE KINGS CHALLENGE...

Hello Friends! It has been a week now since we introduced some new hair balls to our family, and every one seems to be adjusting well. Thank you all for your encouraging words and prayers! I have to say... I never used to be a huge cat lover, I have always been more of a dog lover. However, I have had a change of heart and while I still love dogs, I am just a plain old animal lover! LOL I have an illness you see...if I see an animal I think I need it and then proceed to get it! *wink* My husband is a big softie and normally lets me get more critters. Every year, we have new "critters" here.

 Today is Our Daily Bread Designs Shining Light Challenge day! Well...Christmas is just around the corner and when you think of Christmas classic carols is...We Three Kings...Our challenge to you today is to choose three of these items to use on your card: gold, silver, blue, red, snowflakes, ornament, Our Daily Bread Designs stamps.

This will be our last challenge before the holidays. Our winner will be announced on Sunday, December 26. Our first challenge for 2011 will be on January 8 and with that,I am say to say this is the last project as Challenge Design Team Member... It has been so much fun and such a blessing. I am VERY excited to be remaining on the team in a NEW capacity so I will share that information with you soon!

My take on the challenge was to make an ornament, silver, red and an Our Daily Bread Designs stamp! :) I can't wait to see what you make!

I used the creamy, shimmery Creative Inspirations Paint in Silver Frost to paint the puzzle pieces and decorated the wreath with Tear Drops and gems for the holly.

I made this cute tag using Silver Embossing Powder!

SNTODBD24 - SCRIPTURE!

 Hello Everyone! Thursday is here and while my week hasn't been overly busy, I feel like it has been busy in my head! Ever have days like that!? LOL Today is ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD24)!  The assignment is Our Daily Bread Design stamps and the challenge this week is to use a scripture and to make it the focal point of your card!  We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps!

I created this Scripture Pull Out card several months ago! I love to make books like this for friends who are going through a difficult season. There is nothing more comforting than the WORD of GOD and knowing HE is present during our trials.

One of my favorite passages of Scripture is Psalm 46:1-5  God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled,Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.
I am praying for a friend today as she is having a procedure! Trusting in the LORD as the doctors do their work and the LORD guides their hands.

Here is the project I created and the details listed under each individual "page." The first photo is the entire book opened...

This next photograph is the cover of the booklet...

Stamp Set: Don't Worry

Stamp Set: On Eagles Wings

Stamp Sets: Path of Life and From Me to You

Accessories: Nestibilities, Paper Snips, Dew Drops, Sponge, Scallop Punch, Chocolate Ribbon, gold cord, White Gel Pen, Copic Markers, Buttons, Twine, Chocolate Brads, Chocolate Satin Ribbon, Felt Flowers, Vellum, Mini Glue Dots

A few challenges I participated in...
Creative Card Crew: Anything Goes;
Splitcoast's Technique Lover's Challenge: Sponging (sponged the edges of the dsp, plus stenciled the inside of the Spellbinder die);
Stampin' Sisters in Christ: Encouragement, cheerful, uplifting card;
