Home SWEET Home

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Hello my friends! I hope you are enjoying your Christmas season. We have had so much happening. A friend of our family is remodeling (with my husband's help) and the mom (My friend) has a lot of allergies, so they have been staying at our house this week. This has thrown my schedule off a bit. GOD is good though and has blessed us with space to have people into our home.

Tonight, we will be surrounded by friends with good food and an opportunity to pray together and play games. It will be lots of fun!

Todays project uses the Fancy Frame Window Frame card. I used the Gingerbread House Digi from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. What a FUN image to color!!! I decorated it up with Stickles and Flower Soft...coloring it with Copic Markers.

Here are a few more details:
Gingerbread House Digi from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
Cardstock: Carob Cream Bazzill, Decorated Paper SU, Real Red,
Accessories: Stickles, buttons, white flower soft, double stitched Chocolate Ribbon, Paper Snips, Pencil

Anyways, be safe and have fun! I am praying this year will be filled with good health, lots of laughter, personal and spiritual growth and the ability to fully trust in the LORD's perfect will.

Happy New Year!

Hello! Today is Belli Challenge Day! Did you know we are still doing a search for a few designers to join our team? Please check out the Belli Challenge Blog for more details!

What is the Belli Challenge you ask? Each week, we try to give you a challenge that will use things we have lying around your stamp rooms! With a constant flow of new things coming out, we tend to forget about the other things we have and they quickly become clutter!

Here is what you need to do...
1. Anyone Can Play! Spread the Word! :)
2. Make a completed project with any type of TAG... It can be a gift tag, an acrylic tag, a tag album - anything!
3. Share the link here in the comments linking to Mr. Linky - CBC81. When you post to Splitcoaststampers or to your Blog, be sure and put CBC81 as the KEYWORD and mention of the challenge - with a link!

I hope you have a wonderful, safe and Merry Christmas!

Herringbone, Jenny's Coat and Firecracker Designs By Pamela

HAPPY MONDAY! I hope this finds you well rested from your weekend.
We had a great weekend. I will share the pictures tomorrow! THe city we live in brought in 21 Snow Sculptors and we went down town for that event. It was VERY cool. We also went to Discovery World in Milwaukee to see the Train exhibit they had there.

Today, I am sharing projects featuring the Firecracker Designs By Pamela stamps! I am their Guest Designer this month and have been having a BLAST playing with their FABULOUS images!

The first card uses the technique from the Technique Junkies December Newsletter - Jenny's Coat.

Here are a few more details:
Technique: Jenny's Coat - Technique Junkies Newsletter
Stamps: Seasons Greetings from Firecracker Designs By Pamela, SU Greetings
Cardstock: DP by SU, Green, Red, Black
Accessories: Gold Dew Drops, Gold cord, Brayer, Clear EP, Gold EP, Black EP, Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy, Mini Glue Dots

This technique is one of my FAVORITES! It is fast and fun and I am THRILLED with how this technique turned out!

Stamp Set: O Holey Night from Firecracker Designs By Pamela, stitching set from Hot off the Press
Technique: Herringbone Technique Junkies December- January Newsletter
Cardstock: Boxer Basic Grey DP, Green, Navy,
Accessories: Nestibilities, Big Shot, Dew Drops, Copics, Mini Glue Dots, Paper Snips, Dimensionals

Every year, we take a family picture at Christmas time and this year was NO exception. This year, we TRIED to be early because our oldest was home from college.

We ALWAYS take at least 60 pictures, because with 6 of us - someone ALWAYS has a dumb look on their face (normally my handsome husband- LOL) For some reason, when the camera comes out - his face freezes up and he gets more of a deer in the head lights look on his face...this photograph is no exception...

This was the BEST one out of the bunch we took on Thanksgiving... I did not go with this picture for our family Christmas card but it is a picture of our family...I am thankful for each goofy body in this picture.

I hope you are enjoying your Christmas Season! Merry Christmas!

Hello Friends! I took some time to stamp last night to make this card. I love sketches and this one was no exception...the only thing, I see once again I didn't follow it exactly with the ribbon and the pearl gems...

I am going to finish some of my Christmas shopping today. Hoping to fulfill my children's Christmas wish. Surprisingly enough - they all put only ONE thing on their wish list and it was in the $30 range - very affordable. That is a blessing! I am almost done with that shopping except for a few practical things and I need to buy something for my parents. They are hard to shop for because they always say they do not want anything -

Sooo - enough chitter chatter... here is my card and some details about it...

Stamp Set: Pine Bough by Diamonds, Canvas by SU
Cardstock: SU, Red, Brown, Vanilla
Accessories: Copics, Pointsettia, Pearl Gems, Felt stitched ribbons, Glue Dots

I hope you have a great day! Thank you for stopping by!

Hello everyone -
I know it is a busy season for everyone. Are you enjoying it? In between running around, I have been trying to take extra time to just sit and snuggle with my children. Mornings are normally when I do this. We take it fairly easy in December - try to simplify, especially with school. We end up doing lots of crafts, normally baking, but I am not doing that this year - a tad more extra curricular activities... This year is no exception...this week we will make some Salt Dough Ornaments, decorate a Gingerbread House and go to Discovery World because they have 1200 square feet of train tracks. It sounds like FUN!

Today, I am sharing a card using the technique called Copic Designer Paper from the August-September Technique Junkies Newsletter. This was a REALLY fin technique...

Here are a few more details:
Stamp Set: In His Time
Cardstock: Orchid Opulence, Elegant Eggplant, Coordinations, White
Accessories: Nestibilities, gems, Copics, Paper Piercing Tool

My weigh in today was down 1 pound...for a total of 33 pounds! Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed day! Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah for those of you who celebrate that holiday!

Guest Designing... TAKE TIME TO BREATHE...

Merry Christmas! I am so excited to share another card from the Firecracker Designs By Pamela stamp set Just Breathe... This month I am the Guest Designer there and I am having so much fun playing with their stamp sets!

This morning in my quiet time, I was reading Nehemiah 1. In Nehemiah 1:4-6a it says, When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. Then I said: "O LORD, God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and obey his commands, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants,

I reflected on how Nehemiah took the time to just rest in the LORD, fully trust, fast and PRAY - he took the time to breathe. My prayer for you today, is that during the hustle and bustle of this busy Christmas season, that you get to take the time to BREATHE and have a quiet time of reflection of what the Season is all about... our Lord and Savior.

Here are a few more details about my project...
Stamp Set: Just Breathe
Sketch: Our Creative Corner
Cardstock: Boxer Basic Grey DP, Navy, White, Confetti Cream
Accessories: Big Shot, Nestibilities, Dew Drops, Paper Piercing, Mat Pack, Copics, Mini Glue Dots

I dotted the greens on the trees with my Copics to get more of a realistic coloring affect on them.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a blessed day!
Merry Christmas!

Hello! Today, I have TWO cards to share. Now don't faint. LOL I know I have been slacking on my blogging lately - I really have NO excuse except every day busy-ness and just not making a priority. I will strive to be better.

My first card I decided to keep very SIMPLE - Aren't you shocked? No layers! I almost wanted to yell from the roof tops - look Mom! No layers!!! LOL

This cardstock is from Creative Cuts and More and I used the Bazzill Criss Cross - this uses the A7 Fancy Frame Window Card. I just love the fact that Creative Cuts and More has so many options and ideas for us with precut cardstock it helps me to think outside the box yet make quick cards!

Here are the details:
Stamp Set: Trees of the Field by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Cardstock: Bazzill Criss Cross from Creative Cuts and More (see above)
Accessories: Rub ons - SU, Chocolate Twill ribbon, buttons, linen thread, Gold Painty, Glue Dots

Now.... for another card...using another tree! I loves Trees they make for such a versatile card...

As you read in yesterdays post - I am a Guest Designer for Firecracker Designs By Pamela! This card uses the beautiful tree from the Just Breathe stamp set...

I used the Herringbone Technique from the December - January Technique Junkies Newsletter. I think that is one of my new favorites! Look for another card using this technique next week here.

Jenny's Coat - Weigh In Day!

Hello! Happy Wednesday! Todays card features the technique JENNY'S COAT from Technique Junkies December-January newsletter.

Here are the details:
Stamps by Innovative Stamp Creations, I believe the words are from Birthday Greetings by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Cardstock: Gypsy Harvest by Daisy D's, Ruby Red, Black, Coordinations
Accessories: Paper Snips, Circle cutter, Dimensionals, buttons and gold cord

For those following my weight loss - I am on week 9 and have had a couple of slip ups - but nothing major. I have decided holidays are HARD!!! Thanksgiving I had a tiny bit of stuffing and a very small sliver of pie. And last night, I made home made fudge and when I was done making it, the spoon ATTACKED my tongue!!! I was able to move past that and have kept motivated - I just exercised a bit more between those diet mis-steps.

I am persevering one moment at a time - I lost 3.5 pounds this week and I feel so good. I continue to fit into pants that I have tried on 2 weeks prior and were not able to fit into to - so that feels GREAT! I love having thinner clothes to wear but find myself running out of hangers. I think it is time to eliminate the clothes that are now too big. I have dropped from 2-3 pant sizes depending on the pants as they all fit differently. I love it! I have NEVER looked forward to stepping on that scale like I do now. Even with the few tiny slips I have had.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a FABULOUS day!

Happy Saturday! I took a few days off due to a busy week. I have prepared an AWANA girls SPARKS and T&T Card Making Outreach Event for today, so that has kept me busy! Throw in Thanksgiving and traveling 3 days and I have not been around much! We have 90 girls in our group, however not that many are coming. I am not exactly sure of the total count! But it will be really fun, I am sure. I have cut cardstock and prepared materials for 225 cards. So that should keep us busy! :)

For those of you who may be wondering, due to driving up to college to pick up my 18 year old on Wednesday, I did not get to report my Wednesday weigh in. I had a loss of another -1.5 pounds for a total of 27 pounds gone! :)

Now for the FUN stuff... This is a card I made several weeks ago using a Firecracker Designs by Pamela's stamp set O' Holey Night.

Here are a few more details:
Stamp Set: O Holey Night by Firecracker Designs
Cardstock: SEI Christmas Mint, White Prisma, Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose
Accessories: Red Ribbon, Copics, Gems, Dimensionals

Here is a picture my husband took of us on Thanksgiving.... I hope you all had a wonderful day and have a great weekend! Thank you for stopping by and commenting. Your comments make my day!
