QUIKUTZ CARDS and KORIN'S CHALLENGE

This weekend, my friend Joy came over with a pack of supplies to make a card. The package was filled with several Quikutz Animals, 4 different sheets of patterned paper, and an assortment of baby boy colors of cardstock. The mission was to create a card with WOW factor for her daughter's Baby Shower Invitations...

She wanted a LONG card - so I made this one... What do you think? Does it have the WOW factor?









On World Card Making Day, Korin gave us this sketch challenge. It's not your typical card, however, it is a tri-fold card. You can see her sample here. My card base measures 5.5"x11" and scored it lengthwise at 3.75" and again at 8" and folded it so I had two flaps to open, one on each side.


Add to the Christi's challenge of Paper Piecing and I was able to do three things at once! WOOHOO! And who said you lose brain power when you are multi tasking? LOL

She wanted me to use the monkey and the giraffe on the front of the card, but I couldn't get it to look balanced, so I thought the tri-fold card would be perfect for this...

WORLD CARD MAKING DAY - SANDY'S COLOR CHALLENGE

I decided to use Owl Occasions with the Owl Christmas Add ons stamp sets by Sweet 'n Sassy.

Can you guess what the *NEW* tool of the week is? You can always tell what is new in my office by what I use A LOT! LOL In case you hadn't guessed...it is the Nestibilities!!!

The colors we were supposed to use were Red, Olive and Chocolate!

My Little Chickadee - Faith's Challenge!

Have you been over to the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog today? The first challenge was Faith's and here is what we needed to do:

4 Colors of Card Stock (AT LEAST)
2 Designer Papers
1 Embellishment*You MUST USE DOTS on your card! (They can be hand drawn or on designer paper.)
You may use ANY tools (Nesties, punches, piercer, crimper, etc).

Here are some details - For my 2 DP's I used the Lots of Dots wheel and the Swiss Dots Cuddle bug folder. I also used my nestibilities for my Circles and scallops. I colored this image last night, so you would THINK I wouldn't have taken as long as I did to make this card. But truthfully, my brain is not having a TOP functioning day!!! LOL I think I need to go take my vitamins! :)

I used Splitcoast Stampers WCMD Challenge that was a sketch. for my starting point! I also am behind on my Birthday cards (big surprise - NOT!) for my family, so this card will go to my grandmother who LOVES birds!!!!

I used more LEAVES too for this past week's BELLI CHALLENGE!!!! For more information on that check it out HERE.
