BELLI CHALLENGE #80 - FLOURISHES

Hello! Happy Wednesday! Today is Belli Challenge day! This week's Belli Challenge is to make a project with FLOURISHES. You can use flourish-style stamps, chipboard, bling, or even draw your own flourishes on your card or project.

For those of you following my weight loss - This week I am down a half lb.. I made fudge last week and the spoon attacked my tongue, plus I didn't get as much exercise... so I think I need a kick in the pants to get moving again - but a half a pound DOWN is still not bad... I am down a total of 31 lbs. now.

MONDAY SNS DESIGN TEAM CHALLENGE #11 AND MONDAY MAIL CALL!

HELLO! Last week, I was not really in the stamping mood, so decided to take some time off. I am back now, and ready to resume my regular stamping schedule...

This weeks Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Challenge is to use a HEART on your project.

I chose the Stampin' Up Chipboard, grabbed the heart and painted it with Making Memories Paint Strawberries and Cream. Then matted it on Real Red Cardstock and trimmed around it. The Banner was something I dreamed up last night, but didn't have a stamp like it, so I drew one for this card.

The Forever and Always stamp is one from my Love Blooms image. When I laid it upon my acrylic block, I slanted it upwards a bit on each end so it would flow with the banner.

Basic Grey Challenge - CONTENTS MAY BE FROZEN...

Have you ever purchased a stamp and had it SIT for TWO years? I bought that sentiment stamp about 2 years ago because I HAD TO HAVE IT. Then it sat...and sat....and sat....and sat some more....until tonight...My friend Ceal sent me this Whiff Of Joy stamped image and I colored her. BLOGGERS CHALLENGE #77 - ORNAMENTS

This weeks Bloggers Challenge is to make ornaments. I used the CHIPBOARD kits from SU and a coaster for the other ornament.

I have TWO ornaments for you today! I am actually going to use these as tags on gifts!

The first ornament, I used the STICKY CUT letters with the Fine Cosmo Glitter. I love how it turned out!















This one uses a the kit and the retired DP Cutie Pie, I had laying around. I will use this one for my neice. I sanded the edges down, but had problems getting into the grooves. I went and grabbed my Sparkly Modgepodge - can you see the shimmer? I love how it looks!

For the picture, I decided to hang them on my tree to make them look a bit more festive!

CHIPBOARD ORNAMENTS

Good morning! Today is Courtney's Challenge Day! This week's challenge is to make an ornament. I had little time and LOTS of character building, so I chose an easy project! LOL

I used Stampin' Up's Onboard Seasonal Chipboard and painted this with Making Memories Scrapbook Paint Red Wagon. Then added some Stardust Stickles around the edges. A little Dew Drop bling with some mini glue dots, ribbon and WAH-LAH!

CBCC #13 - CHIPBOARD!

I want to say a very LOUD THANK YOU to our Veterans and their families for the sacrifice of their loved ones, while they have served and currently serve our Country!

Created By Courtney's Challenge is TODAY! This week's challenge was to use CHIPBOARD! I honestly have to say, I had no trouble at all with this one! :)

I made this scrapbook page of my Gracie. She is now 7 years old, so I am a little behind in my album. LOL I think the rubber stamping the past 5 years has slowed me down. I used to only scrapbook, but then I was rubberized. LOL

This scrapbook page uses so many different products, I can not even begin to list them all or where they are all from. Mainly because I do not know! LOL I know the chipboard came from Stampin' Up! and Making Memories. I used Chocolate Chip Craft Ink.

That is my man and I in the pictures - me with dark hair. I felt old with my hair like that. And I grew it out afterwards...

Do you ever have left over peices from your chipboard? This had circles and I looked at it and thought what a perfect frame for images. So I grabbed my Bold Bright Craft Spots and started to play!

Then I first punched the 1 1/4" circle punch - to make the circle portion - then the scallop to get the open scallop frame around the circles -

I used my Cropodile to punch the holes in the chipboard for the brads....

Carousel Note Purse - Belli Challenge #17

Patty Bennett inspired me after seeing her Carousel Note Purse to make one of these -However - the bad news was I didn't have the Carousel Note Cards - BUT I did have the Mini Monogram Font for my Cricut that has a scallop on it, so I set it at 5.5 and then used my Layer Ease to layer it and make it big enough. Since my Carousel Note only measured to be 5.75", I had to be a little creative and change the measurements. I also didn't have the envelopes for the Carousel Notes, so I had to use the Medium Square envelopes which measure 5.5"x5.5" by Stampin' Up!.

My friend Holly, challenged me to make something using the Chipboard and Chunky Glitter from the Spring Occasions Mini I hadn't cracked open yet.

I had a BUNCH of left over Rub Ons laying around, I thought I would use up too - I have SO much clutter. :)

Like I said before, my measurements are a bit different and I added pictures! As I was making it, I thought I should have a COMPLETED project for once instead of just leaving it blank.

Bloggers Challenge #46 - Mother's Day Card and WT 165 Challenge

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I did the Blogger's Challenge and the Ways to use it Challenge from Splitcoast - the Bloggers Challenge had the theme of Mother's Day. I have already made my mom's and my mother-in-law's cards, so I made my grandmother one. Now I just need to remember them on Saturday. The Ways To use it Challenge was to use Chipboard on a project!

We are going to a Mother's Day banquet with my mom and then we are going to see a movie. Any movies out there a Must See?

Belli Challenge #12 - SCRAPS Owl Occasions

This weeks Belli Challenge is SCRAPS - and I have a TON of them. These is another projects I made using leftovers I had laying around - some for months, some made it to the Scrap box just a week or so ago.

Scraps used - Close to Cocoa Owl stamped in Canvas and also textured paper was scraps - the Bashful Blue Cs was an extra stamped bg from a swap. Also, the chipboard swirls were remaining from a scrapbook page I did last year and has been laying around for quite some time... The Cuddle bugged image was one Joan Ervin sent to me as an RAK weeks ago.

Have you ever made a card and said I can do that better? Or you didn't like how it turned out?

Well, in another post for one of Beate's Sketch challenges, I did a card and decided I didn't like exactly what I did, so I changed it up.

Click here to see the original card. I changed the Dew Drops to Brads and the jumbo eyelets. The cardstock tore when I removed the Dew Drops - so I used the 1/4" circle punch and black cardstock to cover the torn area.

I have had so much fun lately doing different people's sketch challenges - can ya tell? I think that is all I have done since I started this blog! LOL I am not sur eif you are like me in the sense that when I see a sketch a card - colors and stamps and everything pop in my head. Are you? Well, as soon as I saw this and saw that it was a friend's dd birthday this picture came to my head. (I am a visual person.)

The chipboard - WSC 29

Well, it has been awhile since I have taken the challenge. Life has been throwing me some curves, but I am persevering through many difficulties and learning to GROW through them!

Anyways - back to the FUN stuff. Have you ever had anything you moved around so many times that you lost count as to how many times you moved it? Well, I had this piece of chipboard that fell out of the package MONTHS ago and I never actually took the 2 seconds it would take to put it away. Instead, I moved it from table to table or drawer to drawer only to have my 6 yo stamper dd bring it out and to move it again. So today, as I sat in my office, there it was - looking at me and I had a choice.... actually put it away with my chipboard or to use it. So with this challenge before me - I decided to use it.

In addition to that, my friend Holly sent me those little tear drops today. I LOVE fun mail. Nothing better than to get some fun new supplies to play with! I am not necessarily sure they go well with a masculine card, but I forged ahead on a mission to actually use them.

I ended up making this card for my nephews up and coming birthday. Another great fete for me! I am ahead of the game and have a birthday card ready before the actual date! YAHOO!

So here is the recipe - I used the Weathered background and Noble Deer stamp set. I watercolored it using the watercolor wonder crayons and aquapainters. Other materials used are: Close to Cocoa, Basic Black,Very Vanilla, Creamy Caramel cardstock, distresser, sponges, tear drops, mini glue dots, twill and chipboard. Ink colors: Craft Chocolate Chip, Black Staz On, Close to Cocoa. I found some non-SU ribbon in my box and instead of the circle, I decided to use that small swatch of ribbon. Not sure if I like it - but it is complete for now....until I take it apart and redo it. LOL The letters are Making Memory Rub Ons.

WSC-22 Twinkling Princess

Here is Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge... My little Gracie has her first GIRLIE birthday party. She is SO excited. So I created this card for her to take along with the gift! I embossed the flowers and swirls in Hologram Highlights. Painted the Flowers with Making Memory's paint - and painted the Princess using Twinkling H20's. Everything **TWINKLES***
