My place of escape - filled with thoughts on LIFE, creations and the things I LOVE.

Hello! Happy Monday! Well, I m going with that sentiment and sticking it in my mind! I need to FOCUS on ALL of the GOOD THINGS.| Stamps: Floral Silhouette Bouquet by I Brake For Stamps |

This past week, as I was popping around some websites, I discovered a new company and images to fall in love with.

Hello! Happy Tuesday! I have a fairly busy week, as I am preparing to fly out to Pennsylvania on Friday (early! what was I thinking? LOL) to meet Korin of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and to get Certified in using Copics. I am VERY excited.
I created this card using Featured Stamper on Splitcoast this week. Judy has a BEAUTIFUL gallery - it was hard to choose a card - but I chose this one : http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1189337
I love the colors and that stamp set...
Here are the things I changed:
Loved the lay out - but added the brads - and the text punch -
Changed the DP - but it is still Basic Grey and similar colors
Changed the stamps too -
Here are the details of my card:
For those who are praying for us...we still wait. The lay offs started yesterday at noon. The company is laying off 170 people. Yesterday 40 people were let go. The remaining 130 will be affected today and Wednesday. I think the waiting is the worst. I have complete faith that GOD is in control - but the controlling portion of my soul WANTS to control this too! LOL I WANT to know now what my circumstances will be...does he have a job or doesn't he? You know?
Ever start a card and it doesn't end the way you think it should? Or it doesn't turn out the way you envision it? Well, this is THAT card for me. :) It is okay - but it was one of those cards I think I spent too much time on. So this is to show you that I do have off days. We will consider it a warm up card for the week. LOL
I am SO blessed! AMY left me a 2008 Blog award! She has some beautiful work, go check it out! I am supposed to pick SEVEN more bloggers., this will be hard, there are so many worthy bloggers out there. Here are my Seven Chosen ones...

I think it has been a few weeks since I have created an ALL ABOUT JOY card. For those of you who are new here, I have a local friend Joy who often tells me she enjoys seeing my Stampin' Up! Only cards. So I have created a day for her. :) I try to put an SU only card once a week.
I used this as my Featured Stamper Challenge on Splitcoast on Sunday, but I really went off course from the orginal card. :) You are supposed to change at least 2 things from the card, but I changed a few more. This week's Featured Stamper was Paulatracy and HERE is the card I cased. Her entire gallery of work is absolutely FABULOUS and her coloring is impeccable!
I used the Cuttlebug Highlights technique -and then sponged the edges with white craft ink. I colored these cute little bumble bees with Copics and used the Nestibilities to frame them, then the Big Shot Top Note die.
You will notice, I did use Dew Drops on this card, if you would choose to use strictly SU, I would advise Joy to use the Black Vintage Brads in place of the Dew Drops - but I prefer the Dew Drops.

I made this card for my friend Joann. Her grand daughters 7th birthday is this Thursday, so she needed a girly card. :)

Today is Featured Stamper Challenge day on Splitcoast and the featured Stamper is: Jennifer a/k/a lovetostamp6 .
The card I chose to use as my Inspiration is here.
We are supposed to change a few things on the card - so I added chocolate chip, used different DP and different embellishments as well as different stamps.
Here is what I used for the card:
Stamp Sets: To have & To Hold
Cardstock and Ink: Soft Sky, Afetrnoon Tea, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Blush Blossom
Accessories: Chocolate Twill, Cowboy Dew Drops, Fine Lace and Stardust stickles, Papersnips, Dimensionals, Blender Pen

This is this weeks Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper Challenge. The Featured Stamper is Kharmagirl. She does FABULOUS work! This is the card I chose to CASE. My version of it is above. You can not tell, but I did use a window sheet on the porthole. I attached a close up, but I still can not tell on this photograph that there is a window...
This is what I used:
Stamp Sets: Pun Fun, Canvas
Cardstock: Basic Black, Gable Green, tempting Turqouise, Whisper White, Lavender Lace
Ink: Copics W5, C5, B32, BG05, Colorless Blender, Black Adirondack, Gable Green
Accessories: Coluzzle, Silver Brads, Dimensionals, Black grosgrain, Turqouise polka dot grosgrain (brand unknown), Ticket corner punch, Paper piercing Tool, Mat Pack, 1/16th hole punch.
Thank you for looking!
