BIRTHDAY WISHES WITH AN ITALIAN FLOURISH

Hello Friends! Today is my last day as a Guest Designer for Classy Cards 'n Such. It has been a wonderful three months. I loved playing with all of the dies and goodies Beverly has in her store! A big THANK YOU to Beverly for allowing me the opportunity to show case her goodies! :)

On todays card, I started with the Peach Card stock and ran it through my Big Shot with the DOTS Embossing Folder. I adhered it to a strip of Black Card stock. I used the Italian Flourish Doily from Cheery Lynn Designs cut in the Layering Swatches #2 Deep variety- Black. I cut the Italian Flourish Doily in half using my Paper Trimmer and used the Quickie Glue Pen to adhere it to the 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Vanilla Cardstock.
I used the Fanciful Flourish Die from Cheery Lynn Dies with Olive Cardstock and adhered it using the  Quickie Glue Pen. I then added the Peach and Black Panel and adhered the Tea Rose Latte Mulberry Roses with Glue Dots. I wrapped the Eggshell Seam Binding around and tied a bow to finish off the embellishments. Once everything was pieced together and adhered, I stamped the sentiment from the Topsy Turvy Cakes Stamp Set from JustRite Stamps.
This card was a QUICK card to make and I love how the Italian Flourish Doily and Tea Rose Latte Mulberry Roses jazzes it up!
Thank you for taking a look today! Have a blessed day!

3-D CHALLENGE GOODIE PURSE

Hello Everyone! I hope you are enjoying your weekend! This week Classy Cards 'n Such is challenging you to make a 3-D Project! For my project I created a Goodie Purse using the Technique Junkie Newsletter 3-D and Fun Folds Cd! This little purse is so fun to make and decorate. It would be a perfect inexpensive gift to fill with lip gloss, nail polish, candy or even a gift card or cash!

I started the purse by using the Teresa Collins 6x6 Patterned Paper called Spring Fling. Classy Cards 'n Such has a BEAUTIFUL array of Patterned Papers for you to design with! The words I used on my project come from the Just Rite Stamp set called Topsy Turvy Cakes.

To create the cute little flower, I used the  Miniature Rose Die from Cheery Lynn Designs along with the Paper Blossoms Tool Kit to help curl the flower blossoms. To adhere all of the little blossoms together, I used the Sakura Quickie Glue Pen. To finish the flower off, I added the Viva Pearl Pen Ice White on the internal portion of the flower and around the scallop punch layer to decorate the words a bit. To further embellish this cute little purse, I added a bow using the  Red and Green Doodle Twine - Christmas Assortment.

Some additional tools that I used are:
Scallop Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/2" Circle Punch, Scallop Border Punch, 1/16th hole punch, Martha Stewart Scoring Tool, Large Oval Punch, Basic Grey Magnets

To create this little Goodie Purse I used the Technique Junkie Newsletter from the 3-D and Fun Folds Cd.

Have you purchased your 3-D and Fun Folds Cd yet? This brand new CD has 70 tutorials for gifts, decorations, boxes, cards, and much more! the original Fancy Folds and Motion CD was so popular, we just had to create MORE for you.

BOTANICAL COLORFUL STRIPES

Hello Friends,  With the warmer weather peeking through here and there, I am finding I have SPRING FEVER! I am enjoying seeing the grass turn greener and flowers bloom. What better time than to pull out some Floral Stamps and Floral Embellishments?

On todays project, I used the Technique Junkie Newsletter and the technique called Colorful Stripes. This project does not use ANY patterned paper, it is ALL hand stamped using the beautiful images available at Classy Cards & Such.called JustRite Designs Botanical Butterflies.

I stamped the focal image in Brown Memento Ink and colored with Copic Markers on Cryogen White Cardstock. Once colored, I used the Viva Pearl Pen in Gold to fill in the center of the flowers. Using a 1 1/4" Circle Punch and a 1 1/2" circle punch, I layered the image on a Scallop punched layer using Bazzil card stock. I adhered the layers together using the Joy! Foam Pads, small.

Using Green Coredinations, I used the Cheery Lynn Designs die cut called Fanciful Flourish.  A few tools I used to make this job a little easier while using the die cutting machine is the Crafters Tools by Cheery Lynn Designs, Sakura Quickie Glue Pen,  and the Cuttlehug, Small by Cheery Lynn Designs. I find the tools so helpful in moving, molding die cuts, while the Cuttlehug helps eliminate the need for addition paper shims. The Quickie Glue Pen is a wonderful adhesive that works great on dies with a lot of details and small areas.

To finish the card, I added Robins Nest Tear Drops and White Organdy Ribbon to tie a bow.
I hope you enjoyed my project today! Have a wonderful day!!!

SEAHORSE BAY SIMPLE SWIPES

Hello Friends! This week's Challenge over at Classy Cards 'n Such is to use EMBOSSING on your cards! You can join us in the fun HERE.
I used the Simple Swipes technique from the February/ March issue of Technique Junkies. I then stamped The Sea Shell Bay Labels Twenty Two stamp set from JustRite Designs in Versamark Ink and sprinkled Black Fine Detail Embossing Powder over the image and heat set it with the Heat Tool.

I layered the Eggplant 3 7/8" x 5 1/8", 3 3/34" x 5" Layering Swatches #1 Metallic -pegasus  Embossed with DOTS Embossing Folder, 3 3/4" x 2"   Layering Swatches #1 Metallic -Bluebell, Embossed with Scrollworks Embossing Folder, punched strip (with Martha Stewart Victorian Edge punch) of Eggplant onto the 11" x 4 1/4" Not Quite Navy cardstock using ATG Tape for adhesive. I then popped up the focal image using the JOY! Foam Pads Small to give the card some dimension.

Using the Silver Viva Pearl Pen , I added some accents in each of the corners and across the Victorian punched edge. Once that dried, I used the Cream Viva Pearl Pen and added a dotted border around the entire card.To finish off the card, I wrapped the Silver Cord around and tied a bow!

I hope you enjoyed my card today! We hope you will join us in this current challenge!

Come back tomorrow for a SURPRISE Blog Hop for a very special friend and another fun post for DRS Designs!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

JUST BECAUSE...

Hello Friends! Today I am sharing a card using the beautiful Botanical Butterflies from JustRite stamps set available at Classy Cards & Such. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it in using Copic Markers.

The lay out comes from one of Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenges. Starting with 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Soft Sky Cardstock and scored it at 4 1/4" using the Scor-buddy Mini Scoring Tablet. I layered the 5 1/4" x 4" Artichoke card stock on top of that and the 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" Sahara Sand on that. I layered the Basic grey Patterned paper on those. Classy Cards & Such has a wonderful selection of beautiful Patterned Papers that you can view HERE.

I used the Technique Junkie Newsletter and two techniques called Stacked Nesties and the Worn Wallpaper techniques. I used the ,Spellbinders Oval & Circles to layer my dies, popping them up with the Joy! Foam PadsUsing Always Artichoke and Soft Sky Card stock I cut out some flourishes using the  Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourishes. In order to eliminate additional paper shims, I used the Large Cuttlehug to make a snugger fit. I also used the Crafter's Tools by Cheery Lynn Designs to help remove the Fanciful Flourish from the die and place it where I wanted it on the card.

To finish off the card, I tied a bow using the Eggshell Seam Binding.

I hope you enjoyed my project today! Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

TOPSY TURVY BIRTHDAY!

Hi Friends!! Welcome!  Have you joined in on the NEW FUN Challenges yet? Classy Cards & Such is hosting a Sketch Challenge this week. You can find out all of the information HERE. We would LOVE To have you join us!

On todays card, I used the Canadian Kaliedoscope Doily Cheery Lynn Die cut out in Lavender Bazzill Cardstock. One trick I have found with using these FABULOUS Cheery Lynn dies is to use a Cuttlehug Large plate. This helps for a cleaner cut and eliminates the need for extra paper shims. I also find I do not have to do so much detail poking out of all of those little clinkers that get caught in the paper.

Once the die was cut out, I stamped the TOPSY TURVY CAKES stamp set by JustRite in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on White Storm card stock and colored the in with the following Copic Inks: BG000, BG05, BG07, RV29, R000, R39, R32, Y15, Y11, V000, V25, V20, YG17, YG67, YG00. I used the Technique Junkie Newsletter and the Out of the Box technique to have the spacing fit where I wanted it to on the sketch.  Once I completed that,  I stamped the small flowers and colored them too. I cut them out and added them to white cardstock in a small cluster and using a 1 3/8" and a 1 1/2" Circle punch, I punched some layers and used Joy! Foam Pads to add a little dimension to my project and pop up the flowers. To finish off the card I added White Pearls in three of the corners.
I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and take a look! Have a wonderful day!

THE SEAHORSE AND SWEET STOP SKETCH

Hello Everyone! I created an extra card using the Sweet Stop Sketch today.

Today, I am sharing a card using the SEA SHELL BAY stamp set, from JustRite. This set was SO FUN to play with! I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them in with the following Copics - YR24, E44, Y000, R29, E43, E51, YG95, BG72. I used a Sakura White Gel Pen to highlight certain areas of the image. Once this was colored, I cut out the images using scissors and mounted the smaller panel on Olive cardstock.
I used a Red sheet of card stock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and folded it in half. I added a panel of 4" x 5 1/4" Olive cardstock as a layer. I ran a white sheet of cardstock through my Big Shot, using the DOTS Embossing Folder. The flourish along the bottom is from the paper pack from Kaiser Crafts called Utopia Collection, The checked panel in the background is from the Basic Grey pack called Archaic. I added a strip of Red Satin Ribbon along the back and added a small bow using this Doodlebug Doodle Twine Christmas Assortment.

I used the Joy! Foam Pads to add a little dimension to my project and pop up the focal image. To finish the card I added the Viva Pearl Pen Ice White  to add some bling to the corners.

Come join us in the SWEET STOP SKETCH and CLASSY CARDS & SUCH has a challenge too! We would LOVE you to play along with them both! Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day!

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Ballet Blue cardstock folded in half. I layered it on  Lilac and Vanilla Card stock. I stamped the smaller images from the Botanical Butterflies stamp randomly across the background in Lilac ink. I then ran the card stock through the Big Shot with a floral Embossing folder.

I stamped the beautiful butterfly stamp in Versamark on Vanilla cardstock. I sprinkled Gold Embossing powder over the image and heat embossed it. The image was cut out with the Heart Circles by Spellbinders in vanilla card stock and the Blossom Three die was cut in Ballet Blue and Lilac card stock.

I used the Technique Junkie Newsletter and Stacked Nesties technique from from the October/ November 2011 issue and added Dimensionals between the layers to add a little dimension. The image was colored with Primsa Color Pencils.
I couldn't resist using one of my FAVORITE dies from Bev's store called the Fanciful Flourish in Amethyst card stock and cutting it apart to have it lay across the card. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Crafters Tools too. This helps the card stock pop out of those detailed dies!!!
