Carousel Note Purse - Belli Challenge #17

Patty Bennett inspired me after seeing her Carousel Note Purse to make one of these -However - the bad news was I didn't have the Carousel Note Cards - BUT I did have the Mini Monogram Font for my Cricut that has a scallop on it, so I set it at 5.5 and then used my Layer Ease to layer it and make it big enough. Since my Carousel Note only measured to be 5.75", I had to be a little creative and change the measurements. I also didn't have the envelopes for the Carousel Notes, so I had to use the Medium Square envelopes which measure 5.5"x5.5" by Stampin' Up!.
My friend Holly, challenged me to make something using the Chipboard and Chunky Glitter from the Spring Occasions Mini I hadn't cracked open yet.
I had a BUNCH of left over Rub Ons laying around, I thought I would use up too - I have SO much clutter. :)
You can find the directions to the Carousel Note Purse on Jan Tink's blog.
Like I said before, my measurements are a bit different and I added pictures! As I was making it, I thought I should have a COMPLETED project for once instead of just leaving it blank.
Here is the side view
Supplies used: Blossoms & Basics Chipboard (on sale through May 31, 2008. If you do not have a Demonstrator, let me know and I would be happy to help you!), Crystal Effects, Chunky Sprinkles, Mini Monogram Font, Cricut, White Gel Pen, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, Layer Ease, Eastern Elegance Rub Ons, Apricot Appeal, ballet blue, Certainly Celery DP, White Medium Envelopes, twill

Here is the Purse Open

Other Materials Used: Scallop Punch, 1 3/8 circle Punch, Base Camp Font Cricut, Computer for typed journaling, Dew Drops, Soft Subtle Brads, Mini Glue Dots, 5 Petal Flower Punch

I used the Cricut for this - so I am adding it to the collection for the Belli Challenges! Do not forget to Check out the Wednesday Belli Challenges - post your participating entry for a chance to win!

A special thank you Patty Bennett and Jan Tink for the inspiration and help with the tutorial!

Thank you for looking! Have a great day!

Wow! I love, love, love this. Most of the projects I've seen with the chunky glitter have looked kind of awkward, but not this! This is absolutely incredible. So, girl, I'm glad you didn't have the carousel notes - I like your version best of all.

How exactly to do you use the layer ease? Do you trace with it and then cut or is there some blade that will fit in the little washer-things? Any info is appreciated! I received a set and am not sure what to do with it!
