A PEACEFUL NUT HATCH

Hello and HAPPY THANKSGIVING week!! I am SO THANKFUL for each of you! What a blessing it is for me to be able to be part of such a wonderful community of gifted people!

I have BLOG CANDY HERE...

Welcome to Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Company's November Blog Hop! The blog HOP starts HERE at Lois's Blog! If you did not start there, you will want to go back and see what she has in store for you!

This month's New Stamp Set Releases are Peaceful Nuthatch, A Trip to Lancaster and What a Fox

Todays card uses the beautiful set called A Peaceful Nuthatch.  I recently heard someone was struggling with getting a "nice crisp" image while using acrylic stamps. ONE TIP I would recommend is to stamp on top of a mouse pad. The acrylic stamps do not have the cushion that rubber stamps have and I find this helps a lot!!!

Here are the details to my project today:
I stamped the Nuthatch image onto the White Storm cardstock. I colored the image with my copics. Then painted over the image with Creative Inspiration Paints in GOLD and my Aqua painter. I sponged the edge with Always Artichoke ink and my sponge dauber. The gold layer behind it is the Elegant Ovals Spellbinders

The green ivy is the Holly Lace flourish die from Cheery Lynn Designs. The background paper is from the Premium paper pack from the Summer Garden collection. For some finishing touches I added gold Dew drops with mini glue dots.

We would LOVE to have you hop along with us! You have a chance to win one of the above stamp sets! Just comment on the following blogs (don't forget this one), each day! We will announce all three winners on Thanksgiving Day. You can go back and comment if you missed a day. The winners will be chosen at 11PM EST on Wednesday November 23, 2011.

You should have come from Marilynn's blog, she has a REAL beauty to share with you! From here, you will want to go check out Karen's gorgeous tag!

I hope you enjoyed my project today! Thank you for stopping by!!! I hope you have a BLESSED DAY! Come back tomorrow!

Hey!!! Happy Thanksgiving season! Have you been busy keeping track of all of the things you are Thankful for? Have you checked out the NEWEST release for DRS Designs? They have so many gorgeous Christmas and Winter designs!!! WOW! When I saw these, I was so excited!!! You can see the NEW release HERE

This design is 827 L. I stamped this in Wild Wasabi Ink on Wild Wasabi Cardstock. THen used my Spellbinders and Grand Calibur (pictured below) to cut out the "wreath:" I stamped the image on Purely Pomegranite card stock in the same color ink and used my 1/4" circle punch and using my glue pen adhered them to my wreath.

Here are some more details:
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranite, Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Embossing Folder, Scallop and Circle Spellbinders, Pomegranite Satin Ribbon, White Gel Pen, Dimensionals, Gems
