BLOGGERS CHALLENGE - PATRIOTIC

Hello and Happy Fourth of July (even if today is July 2!!!) Today is Bloggers Challenge Day and our challenge is to create something PATRIOTIC.

I thought the FAUX STAINED GLASS technique, (instructions are available in the June/ July 2010 edition of the Technique Junkie Newsletter) would be fun to create on this Patriotic card!

The paper I used is from the PAPER TEMPTRESS. WOW! It is so beautiful. I included a few different pictures, so you can see the SHIMMER.  I used the Cryogen White Iridescent cardstock and the Vintage Silver Lustre Text. Even with the embossing, stamps and colored markers, the beauty of the paper shines through!

Now what could be more Patriotic than to pay tribute to those who serve the United States of America by protecting our freedom? I often take it for granted and do not thank those who serve in our military often enough... So to those families who sacrifice their time with their loved ones, to those men and women who serve in the military - THANK YOU FOR SACRIFICING FOR OUR FREEDOM! GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD SPEED!!!

Here is some more information about my project...
Stamps: SO FAR AWAY available at FIRECRACKER DESIGNS BY PAMELA (this is one of my FAVORITE images!!! LOVE IT!)
Accessories: Technique Junkie Newsletter, Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Copics, Dew Drops, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Paper Snips

Have a safe and wonderful weekend! Thank you for stopping by!
