HE WILL COVER YOU WITH HIS FEATHERS

Hello my friends, Today, is the beginning of some changes for myself. Do you ever find yourself slipping into bad habits? Well, I have been!!! I have been sleeping in late, not getting as much accomplished, because I tend to be more of a morning person and if I sleep that time away not as much gets completed and my time with my family is shorter. In addition to that, I find myself making bad choices as far as food, especially at night!

So today, I woke up at 6 am to start my day with a quiet time (was HOPING to do it with out children), however, my children followed me downstairs. So I told them they had to be QUIET while I had my quiet time. I am also planning to get back on a clean eating program and to move more. While I have not gained a TON of weight, I am up about 5 pounds now from the 50 I lost, it is time to reign it back in and cut out the sugars and processed foods. I will share what I am going to be doing in the next few days. So if you care to join me in my efforts, I would love the support! :)

One reason I am waking up earlier, is due to my fall school schedule. I am beginning to prepare for that and by waking up early NOW, it will not be as painful next month! :) OK... enough about ME...although there are TONS of things happening that I will announce in due time, but I am continuing to pray for wisdom and I want to be sure I am on the same page as GOD as I make these decisions! I have to remind myself that while there is a lot of good things and opportunities, not every one of them is what the LORD wants me to do.

Todays card, I actually made 10 of for our Care Ministry Pastor at church. I used Patter's Card here as my inspiration. I did change a few things. Here are the details:

Stamp Set: Our Daily Bread Designs You will Find Refuge and Amazing Grace Hymn
Cardstock: Vanilla Neenah cardstock, Navy, Kraft
Accessories: Martha Stewart Punch, Navy Organdy, Sponge, Nestibilities, Black EP, Heat Tool,

Challenges I participated in:
Creative Cottage - "Touchy Feely" challenge....I used heat embossing
Frosted Designs: Border punches....I used the Martha Stewart border punch

I hope you have a day filled with peace and the joy of the LORD! Thank you for stopping by and commenting. Your kind words of encouragement, are always a blessing to me. Have a great day!

Awesome card design and just perfect for the card ministry!!! Girl, I am so feeling you about not getting things done...I am trying myself to make a few changes and one of them will be starting to walk in the mornings after I drop my girls off at school...some much needed "me time". I will be looking forward to what you'll have to share. Hugs and blessings, Sabrina

Fabulous card. I think it is perfect for a ministry type card. I understand all too well the need for quiet time and in my house it is a rare commodity.

embossing and vintage feel to these! I know what you mean about the early rises, my children are always up early so no chance of quiet time without them unless I rise at 4.30am ha I think not! good luck with the clean food regime! Thanks for joining us at the creative cottage challenge hugs Rebekah xx

Beautiful card! Love the birdie! I wish I could get my life in a better order! Sometimes I think I am falling apart, but don't know how to fix it! I blame it on menopause!! Good luck with your goals!

Gorgeous card! Love that beautiful bird stamp! Sticking to good eating can be so difficult but I agree that avoiding processed food is key to feeling good about the food you eat.
