Golden Irises

Hey Friends! Happy NOVEMBER!!! This year is just flying by! On today's creation I wanted to create a golden hue... I know iris's are not normally golden. :)

I used the image from Art Neko called Framed Bearded Iris and Butterfly

and stamped it in Black Tuxedo ink and used Copic Markers to color in the image. Popped it up with some Dimensionals. Then using the GORGEOUS patterned papers from Art Neko, I cut an oval using Spellbinders and created some ribbons along the mustard cardstock. On the Saffron cardstock, I ran it through my Big Shot with the embossing folder. Then tied a bow to finish off the project.

Thank you for taking a look today!

CAS404 La Rosa Meditativa Inspiration

Hi Everyone - This week Kelli Jo wants us to be inspired by a work of art from Salvadore Dali. Scope out some of his paintings and find one that jump starts your creativity!

Find the gallery: HERE

My inspiration came from this peice: https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...AVkQ_B0InAIwCg and created my project. I did not have a cloud stencil, so I created my own with cardstock and sponged the edges.

The stamps I used were Unknown Rose, Stampin' Up! Birthday Banners , Whisper White cardstock, Sky Black Memento Ink,
Stamps: Unknown Rose, Birthday Banners
Accessories: Colored pencils, Sponge, home made cloud stencil, dimensionals

Thank you for stopping by! Stay tuned for more!

Autumn Leaves

Hi Everyone! Fall is here and it my FAVORITE time of year. I love the smell of the crisp air. The sound of the crunching leaves and the colorful leaves and variations of greens on the trees and grass.

I also love this fun fall set from Art Neko. It offers lots of Versatility.I had fun with the sketch. I even pulled out some old designer papers that seemed to coordinate with the color challenge and looks good with the challenge too.

Using the Set of Leaves, Acorns, and Kanji by Art Neko , I stamped in Black Memento Ink. The papers I used are Island Indigo, some old, old, scraps of Patterned paper, Early Espresso, Whisper White. I colored the images using Copic Marker colors: Copics, E44, BG72, YR, E23, E27. I cut out the image using Spellbinders Circles and popped it up using Mini Glue Dots.

To finish off the project, I used the
Metallic Foil Leaves available at Art Neko and adhered them using Mini Glue Dots. I decided to add some flair to the project with the Viva Pearl Pen in brown.

I hope you enjoyed my project! Thank you for taking a peek!

JUST BECAUSE....

Hello Everyone! I appreciate you stopping by! The past 4 years, I have been working my butt off on my home based business with Norwex and haven't done much paper crafting. A few months ago, my friend Holly Brown invited me to join a Design Team. At the same time, my business slowed down a little and I enjoyed having some more ME TIME and to work on the things I love to do. Taking care of myself emotionally, spiritually and feeding my artistic side was something I had set aside while I worked my business. Now, I am still working my business, but have found a way to get more balanced. My new website "CREATING WITH CHRISSY" will be all about: Creating the life we want filled with balance, work, hope and crafting. Best of all, I will be sharing tips on how to save time, money and your health with Norwex and diet!

This weekend, I played along with the Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper Challengeand boy was in for a pleasing view when I saw the talented Vickie Y's gallery. She had so many fabulous projects to case!

I decided to CASE her Snoopy at the beach card.

The changes I made were the colors, the papers, the image and I flipped the focal point to have the rounded corner on the opposite side.

Stamps: Peony Square by Art Neko
Paper: Gold Leaves on a Field of White, fabric papers, Cocoa, Pink, Raspberry
Accessories: Flowers, bling, Dimensionals , Mini Glue Dots

Now for my second project... Now look closely - because the WHITE ink is the outline of the image. :) I love these Glossy Papers from The Paper Temptress.

Here are some more details:

Stamps: Butterfly Sheet - A324FSHT - Butterflies, Siamese Cats, Pagodas, and a Wee Boy Catching Butterflies from Art Neko Paper: Paper Temptress Ultimate Glossy Cardstocks, Art Neko Japanese Silver Sakura Blossoms on WhiteInk: Craft White

WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?

Did you let the dog out? is a question we often ask in this house! :) Today, I played along with a few challenges, 2 of them on Splitcoast Stampers and the DRS Designs Thursday Challenge as well.

My daughter and I had fun playing together. She drew, I stamped.
I added the SUNSHINE in for the CAS challenge - and then created a frame using my paper trimmer for the "polaroid" since I did not have the die cut. I also played along with Blog Challenge of incorporating their animals.

Stamps:
DRS Designs - Doggie Dilemma with Fence, Playful Pups, Who let the dogs out
Paper: Whisper White, Craft, bashful blue
Ink: Yoyo Yellow, Black Memento, CopicsAccessories: Paper trimmer, scissors, dew drops, Mono liquid glue

Thank you for taking the time to look!

Two Cards for the Papercrafter

Hello Friends!!! I am so excited today because I have been working with IMAGE MANAGEMENT on a NEW WEBSITE!!! This will combine my business, blogging, artwork, healthier living tips, recipes, and SO MUCH more in one place. So in a few short weeks, I will be LIVE with Creating With Chrissy. Stay tuned for more posts and information on this exciting NEWS!

I have messed this one up a bit and do not know how to fix it, and do not know anyone who does. DO YOU!?

Now for the FUN STUFF! Papercrafting!!! My first card features the GORGEOUS stamp called Paired Swans from Art Neko (they have a new website coming soon too!) You can buy an entire set of State birds images on a sheet from them too if you wish.
I used the beautiful sheet of Gold Leaves on a Field of White, fabric papers on some textured Co'ordinations beige as well. The background papers are Whisper White and Brushed Gold from Stampin' Up! I embossed the image and words called Whimsical and Kind sayings in Gold Embossing Powder, using an embossing buddy and Heat tool to get a crisp embossed look. I finished it off by popping up the image with some Dimensionals!

My second card is all the Asian theme! Art Neko has a great variety of GORGEOUS mini envelopes. If you LOVE Asian things, they have a vast variety of wonderful images to choose from here.

On this card, I used one of the lovely envelopes and snipped of the top with a decorative scissors to put a tag inside the envelope. Using an embossing folder and my Big Shot, I embossed vanilla cardstock and matted with dark brown and Co'ordinations beige cardstock.

I appreciate you stopping by and hope you enjoyed my projects! Stay tuned for more on health, cleaning with less chemicals, hope and of course MORE papercrafting!

Be sure to check out my Design Sisters Blogs this week too!

Back to Blogging

So it has been awhile since I have blogged. I allowed life and work to take over the past 2 years and have neglected doing the things I love. I have the type of personality I am ALL or nothing. So this year, I decided to set some NEW boundaries with some new goals of BALANCE. Will I be perfect? Probably not. That is okay though. I am learning to accept who I am, where I am at and going with the flow.

In the process of working, I am renewing my love of paper crafting. I mean truly... if I don't paper craft, I would be more like a hoarder with all of these crazy supplies I have been blessed with.

My friend Holly and I, took a virtual stamping break. She is one of my DEAREST friends and I LOVE stamping with her...even though she is in Texas and I am here in Wisconsin. We challenge each other with colors and sketches...You can see her creation HERE. We decided upon the
Color Throwdown #323 and a  sketch that Holly found on Pinterest,

The images are from Stampin' Up! and so is the cardstock. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Wishing you a HAPPY New Year too!

OPPORTUNITY NIGHT IDEA

Thinking about becoming a Sales Consultant for Norwex? Come over and I will go over the basics! Even if you decide not to sign up, I have a gift for you and will give you 20% off if you'd like to place an order.

And did you know it is FREE to sign up and you get a starter kit with everything you need to present a show?!

Not enough time? Ladies...look at me. If I can do it, you can do it!

Need some extra income? I totally started because I love the products, but the money is pretty awesome. I now average about 200 a show! And I could do a lot more if I really wanted. This is what works for me.

Nervous to present? Just demo a few things and the product sells itself. My first few shows I had no idea what I was doing and I sold 2,000 worth in 24 days.

At home with kids all day? This is such a great opportunity to get out of the house, party and meet AMAZING women. I can't even count the wonderful women I have gotten to know through Norwex. Wouldn't trade it for the world!

And if you can't make it to this date, I am hoping to have another one soon. Just let me knowing you are interested.

DUST MITT - Household Package

I love how easy it is to dust with the dust mitt! With Norwex it creates an electro-static charge, so all of my dirt and debris sticks to the mitt! This saves me so much time and money...

Want to give it a try? I would really VALUE your opinion! www.christinadickinson.norwex.biz
