Sweet 'n Sassy Design Team Round Up!

STATIONARY BOX TUTORIAL
given to me by Wendy Fassenbender

Box:
Cardstock: 8 ¾” x 12”
Score at 1”, 5 ½”, 6 ½”, and 11” on long side
Score at 1”, 7” and 8” on short edge

Fold on score lines. Holding the cardstock with the single long score line at the bottom. Cut “flaps” to score line.
On top, cut flaps to 2nd score line. Cut off small flaps at the 1st score line.
Pick one side to be the back of the box. Cut off the large flap at the 2nd score line on the front of the box.
Cut off flaps at the bottom of the front side and top of the back side.
Fold to create box, similar to crayon box.
Clip the corners of the flap that will go inside to make it close more easily.
Open box and apply adhesive to the bottom inside flaps, press to adhere to long flap from back of box. Apply adhesive and press front flap over back flap.
Apply adhesive to side flap, making sure the flap from the front of the box goes over the flap from the back of the box.
Use 1 3/8” circle punch to partially punch front of box to make it easier to open.
Decorate!

This month I am showcasing BIRTHDAY FUN! This gift box comes with THREE cards, although you could fit 5 cards in the box if you do not use too many layers and extra embellishments. But why would you want to eliminate all of the fun stuff? These boxes make great gifts for friends or loved ones.

The first card uses the adorable mailbox with a gift. I know personally I love fun mail! I used the Prismacolor pencils to color it in and drew small x's as an extra border on the project. To give the mailbox a little more dimension, I cut out the outside portion of the box and popped it up with some Dimensionals. I also added a little touch of country by using these green buttons with pink floss. The Designer Paper is from DCWV Nana's Kids pack. The words are from Sweet 'n Sassy's adorable Frogetful Sam stamp set.

The second card features the balloons that I also used on the Stationary Box. I colored these in with the Prismacolor pencils. I added a little Stickles on two of the balloons and popped another one up to give it a little more dimension.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Birthday Fun, Frogetful Sam
Cardstock and Ink: SU Tempting Turqouise, Whisper White, Green Galore, Pixie Pink DP by DCWV Nana's Kids
