BLOGGERS CHALLENGE #53 CAN YOU RESIST?

We arrived home from vacation yesterday and I spent most of my time working on unpacking, laundry and cleaning...so I could stamp today!
This weeks Bloggers Challenge is to do ANY RESIST technique. Hmmmm... I sit down to work on the Challenge and I am STUMPED - no ideas come to my mind...my Mojo is still on vacation.
After wasting some time surfing and looking at a few techniques for resisting, I decide what to do - Emboss Resist.
I wanted to try something a little different, so I used Bordering Blue and embossed the Floral BG on it. I used the sponge daubers but wasn't completely satisfied with the way the color was coming out - so I grabbed my Prismacolor pencils and colored in some of the unembossed areas - then used the sponge daubers with assorted inks to color in any areas I missed with the pencils.
I watercolored the Hummingbird and Flowers with the Classic Ink pads from Stampin' Up! and my trusty Aquapainter. Once done watercoloring it I sprayed some Pearl Glimmer Mist over the image. I wasn't completely satisfied with the shimmer I recieved and didn't feel like getting up again to pull out the Glimmer Mists so I grabbed my Twinkling H20's Iridescent Violet and went over the hummingbird. Once that was done, I grabbed my 2-way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds and lightly went over some of the flowers.
Here is the supply list:
Stamp Set: Spring Song, Flower Bg
Cardstock amd Ink: Versamark, Black Staz On, Sage Shadow, Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose, Bordering Blue, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White, Shimmery White cs (bg)
Accessories: Heat Tool, Clear Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Prismacolor pencils, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, dazzling diamonds, 2 way glue pen, sponge daubers, Island Blossom Dew Drops from the Robins Nest, pink gingham ribbon.....
Ohhh speaking of the ribbon - underneath that is a mistake! My original idea did not include the ribbon, but that became a necessity when I got punch happy and punched a hole for a brad crooked...
Thank you for looking. Be sure to check out all of the other talented bloggers under the Bloggers Challenge icon - just click on it for a list of links!
Have a great night!

Better late then Never...What a pretty card. How unique to use Bordering Blue to do the embossing on. It really added a different twist. Love the gorgeous little hummingbird.
