OCTOBER TREASURE HUNT - BURNISHED BACKGROUNDS

Hello! Welcome to the October Technique Junkies Blog Hop!

Wasn't Lisa'a project wonderful? Looking at everyone's projects always makes me want to create some more! (If you didn't arrive here from the Technique Junkie blog, you don't want to miss what our whole DT has in store for you! The Treasure Hunt starts at http://techniquejunkies.blogspot.com/)

In the process of going from Blog to Blog you will want to collect small treasures! At the end of the treasure hunt, put the collection together to see what it says and follow Pat’s directions to have an opportunity to win a FABULOUS treasure chest filled with prizes! You have until Friday morning to join in on the fun!

This project gives you a PEEK to the Technique "Burnished Backgrounds." The technique instructions are available in the Technique Junkies October Newsletter! If you are not a subscriber, I encourage you to become one! Each newsletter is better and better with step by step directions (with pictures!) on how to use these WONDERFUL techniques!

Here are the details for my project:

Stamp Set: Season's Greetings by Firecracker Designs By Pamela

I used a black Craft pad and clear embossing powder on the BURNISHED BACKGROUNDS but it came out more grey than black - so on the text, I used Black Embossing Powder. Next time, I would just use the black embossing powder, but sometimes I have trouble with it smearing.

Cardstock and Ink: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red

Accessories: Bone Folder, Sponge Dauber, Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Punches

The treasure you will find here is the letter "W". For your next CLUE to the TREASURE HUNT go to Jane's Blog to collect another treasure! Have fun hunting for your treasure!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!

Love the colors on your card. I was going to try that technique but just haven't done it yet. Each time I do these hops I get inspired to learn more and make more cards.

Thanks

The burnished background is yummy and I particularly like the edging stamp you used to make it look hand sewn.
