FLOWER POWER

Hello! I meant to post this last night, but after spending the entire day at the hospital with my teen daughter, I came home exhausted and with a bad attitude. My daughter was having severe abdominal cramps and the doctor was concerned that it was her appendix. We first went to the Urgent Care and they sent us over to the emergency room. Six hours later, and several tests and lots of waiting, we found out it was her diet that was causing the problems and was giving her indigestion and other issues with the bathroom. (I will spare you TMI) The last 2 hours in the emergency room, I sat there listening to my daughter complain about wanting to go out with her friends and how BORED she was and then got the big eye roll (I hate that) when I told her how this could have been avoided.
Instead of leaving the hospital Praising God that is wasn't more serious and that it was something minor. I left feeling angry at her for making the choices she does regarding her diet and extremely irritated with her complaining about the doctors orders to change her diet. I spent the entire night focused on her attitude and how UPSET I was with her instead of focusing on the ONE that COUNTS!
My attitude SHOULD be more like this...
Psalm 146:2 (New King James Version)
While I live I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
As much as my pride will get in the way, I know I need to apologize to my husband and my daughter for being so upset and angry last night...
1 John 1:9 (New King James Version)
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
With that being said, my 7 year old woke up with a fever at 4 am, so I am a bit slow this morning.
On to STAMPING!
This is a card I originally made for the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Round Up, but I wasn't sure if I LOVED it. The ribbon did not turn out exactly like I had envisioned in my head.

Here are the details of this project:
Stamp Sets: Autumn Blessings (words), and Summer Fun by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Cardstock: Coordinations Orchid, Chocolate Chip, Basic Grey
Accessories: Copics, Nestibilities, Word Window Punch, Paper Snips, 1/8th hole punch, Ice Brads, Stitched Chocolate Ribbon, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (New King James Version)
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
I hope you have a blessed day!

I am so glad I read your post just now. I came home this morning with a bad attitude from physical therapy. I should have been thankful that they think the problem can be helped with therapy and I need to get my butt in gear and work toward that end result. Sorry you had to go through so much last night and this morning, but thank you for showing me that I need to change my attitude. I am so glad that God realizes we are just human and is so willing to forgive us.
Oops... I got carried away. Love the flower on your card. The ribbon stem is different. I have never seen that done before. Hummmmm

Beautiful card the stem is different but good. As for the mood well it happens the best thing to do is now hand it to God and let it be carried from there.

Beautiful card! I like how you used the ribbon. Ask the Lord to send someone to open your daughter's eyes. I find this helps me when I have difficulty with people listening to me. The hardest part for me is handing the situation to God and letting go. Hang in there I will pray for your family.
p.s. I just noticed that the "word" (cablessa)in the verification has bless in it.

I so sorry to hear about your rough day Chris! I can pretty much relate with the attitude as you know as I have a nearly teenage girl myself. I can also relate with the card not being what you want as I used the same exact words on my blog post yesterday LOL. Keeping you in prayer. Big hugs

Dear Chrissy,

Your card is gorgeous.

I think you have to give yourself a break! It is tough to handle teenagers and your daughter was not greatful for your time nor the doctor's help. It is only natural for you to be upset. It didn't take you long to realize the mistake you made - that we ALL make - now turn it all over to the Lord and let him take care of your daughter's attitude and eating habits.

I am happy that she wasn't really ill and I hope your son isn't as well.

Tough day for you!

Ok, our daughters are totally different ages, but Vivian has had intestinal issues, too. I have started making her lunches for school 'cause the lunchroom has no nutritional value whatsoever. She accidentally revealed to me that she's been dumping her lunch and eating on a tray anyway... because she loves the lunchroom food. I had to grit my teeth and pray for patience as I explained to her why she couldn't do that... etc.

UGH. Prayers for you, friend!

This card is great! The ribbon idea is really neat!

Chrissy, I hope things improve for your daughter and your wee son! How you manage to produce such gorgeous creations in the midst of hospital trips and sleepless nights...I can't imagine. We all had a cold and it through me for a loop! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers1 Hugs Jeanette

Hey Chrissy - oh, I have had days like that with my children and I just pray continously for patience, which sometimes abates each time something else is said. I will have to print out these scriptures and keep them with me at all times - TFS !! I am thankful she is okay. The card is beautiful - I just love the colors your chose and like the ribbon.
